My Travel Story

Intro
Hello Everyone! My name is Nora Anzalone, and thank you for visiting my crowdsource funding page for my Study Abroad in Regensburg Germany

I am a Senior-Year, English B.A. student at Arizona State University with a 4.0 GPA. Some of my credentials include membership in both Golden Key International Honour Society and Phi Kappa Phi, as well as being a 5-time recipient of the Dean's List award.

Reasons for Attending
I have chosen this Study Abroad Program (More Info Below) from my university for a number of reasons:
  • -First, I have been studying German for the last 2 1/2 terms, and have become so in love with the language and culture. Having the opportunity to use what I have learned in real time while also continuing my studies would be extremely rewarding
  • Regensburg is also in the province where much of my family immigrated from during WWII, so it's a once-in-a-lifetime chance to reconnect with aspects of my identity that have been previously inhibited.
  • Being an English student, my true passion lies in Children's Literature, Fairy Tales, and Folklore. Germany is a cornerstone location for numerous worldwide classics in this genre of literature. As such, immersing myself in the world that inspired so many timeless tales would be utterly magical. Not only that, but it will only better prepare me for the professional world; giving me invaluable insight into my chosen career.
  • Germany has become one of the top contending locations for where I would like to strive for my Master's degree because of their amazing International Student system, making this Study Abroad a perfect chance to decide whether or not it is a feasible prospect for myself in the future.
  • And finally, up until now, Study Abroad was a prospect that was merely a luxurious fantasy for me. Finding a program that still works within my professional, academic, and personal requirements and still being relatively affordable has been a difficult task. So, now that the perfect program has presented itself, I fully intend on making the most of the opportunity.

    Cost Calculator Update!
    Hello Everyone!
For those who may have noticed, the Program Fee component of the Cost Calculator has been reduced. As stated in the 'Adventure Registry' section, I should be able to comfortably pay around ~$1000 out-of-pocket (give or take). This may increase as time goes on, but this is the current estimation. As such, I lowered the overall Goal Amount to more accurately reflect what is currently still needed.

ALSO! I should be hearing from my 2 current pending scholarships within a few weeks. Should I succeed in being awarded, this will result in over HALF of the Goal completed! I will keep you all updated accordingly, as usual.
Thank you for your continuing support!
