Want to give my son GREAT experiences, just need help!

Hello,
Single mother, 37, living paycheck to paycheck. Have a decent job, just bought a house with all the money I had saved. Can't get my head above water. I would love to take my son, 6, whom is half Puerto Rican to Puerto Rico this year. Also hoping to take a trip next year with our family and friends to Thailand. 
I was adopted by a single woman, and became a single mom myself. I would like the chance to give my son wonderful adventures and things that my mother was able to provide for me. I have been living paycheck to payucheck after using all my savings to buy a house in a decent area so my son could go to a great school. After losing all my money to my ex and his family, I rebuilt just enough to buy a home for my son and I, and now I can't seem to get ahead in life. I am unable to save enough to afford us some vacations. I am looking for help in amount anywhere from $5,000 to $11,000. I take care of 95% of all expensies for myself and my son. His medical, his school and extra things we need in life. My son is puerto rican and I would like him the chance to see where his fathers' family is from. I am working hard to get from underneath all my bills and daily living. Be able to not only pay for the things we need in life but save as well. All I need is a little nudge forward and help. 
I had the beautiful experiences to travel with mom. I performed music in Italy as a high schooler and lived abroad in my 20s after I left college in which I volunteered for the military in the country I was living. I want to be able to give my son these experiences as well. He deserves it and is very curious and ask amazing questions about life. I know allowing him the chance to see different ways of life will help expain his mind. 
I do not have soical media. Sometimes we give to others becasue we know what it is like to not have something. Sometimes we give becasue it is the joy we bring to others that full our drive and sometimes we give to others because we have the means to do so. I am a humble hard working mother whom would ony be so grateful for a little help. Thank you
