My Travel Story

I have always wanted to travel abroad and get to learn new languages. This summer for four weeks, I will be learning medical Spanish in Granada, Spain! I will be fully immersed in the culture and language and get to go to a clinical setting to practice. When I was working at a physical therapy clinic before coming to college, one of the physical therapists spoke Spanish fluently to a Spanish speaking patient. I immediately knew that I wanted to have that skill to support and encourage my SFL patients. To be able to communicate with another well breaks through many barriers of miscommunication and misunderstanding.
I hope to fully enjoy the beauty of this experience and learn in many aspects of life. I want to learn more about my career, how I fit into it, how to be independent, how to be dependent, and to grow in my relationship with my Heavenly Father. I will be traveling alone with an affiliate through the school and need all the support I can get financially or through prayers. Thank you!
