My Travel Story

by: Zackery Inamagua Start Date: Feb 12, 2020 - End Date: May 21, 2020
One of the few things in the world scarier than Australia's wildlife is this nation's insurmountable student debt crisis. My biggest goal, second only to successful entrepreneurship, is to graduate without the shackles of student loans. Ambitious, if not ambiguous goals, I admit. However, my drive makes these initiatives feasible. I have spent endless late nights and weekends bartending, completing surveys for pocket change, and strategizing savings and investments in hopes of avoiding the devastating cycle of debt so many fall victim to.

Your donation, no matter how big or small, has invaluable implications for my future. In addition to fulfilling my aforementioned objective, you are contributing to my personal and professional growth. While in Sydney, Australia I will have the opportunity to study Key Issues in International Economics. There is not a superior location for perusing the complexities of our increasingly globalized economy than the manufacturing, finance, and transport epicenter that is Sydney, Australia. Outside of the classroom, my internship will fortify concepts I have learned on my academic journey and augment the professional skills I have acquired and require for future business endeavors.

Though I generally loathe asking for money, its value will be increased exponentially in your investment as I use this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to kickstart my career. The networking, professional development, and self-discovery potential of this matchless opportunity, without the burden of debt, will expedite my future business endeavors.

I have devised a rewards system to encourage your participation in my journey but these simple tokens provide insufficient acknowledgment of my gratitude. As someone who has believed in me, you will be the first credited for my success. I am thrilled about this adventure and I hope you will share it with me.

  • COVID-19 :(

It is with great sadness I must relate the message I most recently received from the University Chancellor. As you are likely aware, Universities nationwide are turning to remote learning options for the remainder of the semester as a proactive measure against the spread of the Coronavirus. Students are being asked to vacate campuses or not return from spring break. Additionally, spring and summer study abroad programs are being affected. My trip to Australia is one of them. While I am not yet sure what the University is planning as far as rescheduling of these programs, I wanted to keep you all updated.
I greatly appreciate your support thus far and want to reassure all your investment will only be used if and when my trip is rescheduled. If the University is unable to provide an alternative arrangement, I will work to promptly refund your contribution. Thank you in advance for your understanding and I look forward to updating you when I know more.
