My Travel Story

All my life I've had a thirst for travel. I remember as a child sitting on my Father's lap, listening to him tell me stories of Vietnam, Thailand, and more Despite being war time when he was there, he still recalls it being one of the most beautiful areas on Earth. Sadly, now do to exposure to Agent Orange a horrible pesticide he is now unable to travel much. In this trip I hope to experience the culturally rich places he described in my bedtime stories as a child. I guess hearing these stories really sparked my intrest and love for travel. As I grew, I developed strong ties in nature, often spending much of my time outside adventuring and such. Wistfully, gorwing up in the suburbs of the great city of Miami there isn't much wildlife besides a few grass-patch parks. Thankfully I have been able to spend many of my summers working at a wonderful marine-bio based summer camp that involves me teaching children about the world they live in and lots of lots water-sports and hiking! As that has sparked my desire to pursue Marine Biology and Molecular Biology as an adult, it his still has not quenched my thirst for adventure. I wish to travel more so I have the opportunity to emerge myself in many other cultures and experience the many wonders that they have to offer.
If I were to experience this trip; Southeast Asian Adventurer: I would cruise down the Mekong river Laotian style, zipline through the jungle, explore the rich waters of Si Phan Don, learn the art of fire dancing and more. It would be the trip of a lifetime and I would never ever forget it. This trip would also be a time for self-peace and exploring my limits as a human. I would appreciate any help in affording this trip, anything helps. I would love love to experience the natural beauties of Southeast Asia.
