Bait Lab on the Road – The Florida Gauntlet
This spring, I’m hitting the road for the ultimate bait-testing journey through the heart of Florida’s wildest waters — from the backcountry of the Everglades to the surf of the Atlantic. It’s called The Florida Gauntlet, and it’s more than just a fishing trip — it’s where the baits I’ve been building get tested, refined, and proven in the realest environments possible.

Each stop is a new chapter: thick swamp grass, mangrove tunnels, crystal-clear flats, deep bridges, and crashing surf. I’ll be fishing for everything from snook and tarpon to largemouth bass and pompano — testing how my handmade baits perform in different conditions, from freshwater to salt, in heat, current, structure, and open water.

This trip isn’t just for fun — it’s research. I’ll be documenting the whole journey with videos, field notes, and behind-the-scenes content so you can see how each bait holds up, how I tweak designs, and how each catch leads to better products.
It’s a dream field-test mission wrapped in a graduation celebration — and the start of something reel for my bait company.
