My Travel Story

Hi! As most of you know, in September of 2023 I had the privilege of visiting Arusha, Tanzania on a volunteer teaching trip. While I visited I had the opportunity to also visit a couple of orphanages and spend time with some of their kiddos. Being there was the greatest, most humbling, beautiful life experience and since coming back home, it has felt like a piece of my heart is still there. This summer, I get the joy of going back! I will head to Arusha on June 29th and I will come home on July 17th. During the week I will be teaching half days, and then spending the second half of my days at the orphanage spending time with kids, and helping out where I can. It has been evident for most of my life that I have been called and am well equipped to reach underserved groups of people. I see this in my daily work life, and I see this in the rest of my life as well. Serving people and knowing that I am doing it for the Lord brings me so much joy! 

All that being said! I have already paid for all but a couple hundred dollars worth of my travel and stay. If you care to support me in that way, it would be such a gift but I would never expect it! What I DO want to do is bless the kids of Arusha so heavily! It would be a dream to have the funds to buy them things that they otherwise would not have like new schools supplies, art supplies. fun snacks/drinks, basic hygeine products, sports equipment, and even toys. Funding all of those things though can be very challenging dur to the cost that it takes just to get to/stay in Arusha!
