Donating to my campaign will help me become that guidance counselor that I want to become in the future. As a Latina student and first generation, I know that to continue moving forward in life it can become hard because sometimes one doesn't have that support system or guidance to succeed. Thankfully, I've received plenty of help from the CBO organization, my mentor, and family, but not many students will have this in their life and could potentially lead them to stop reaching for their dream. I want to make a difference by being that support system and not letting any student stop reaching for their dreams because no one is there for them. Going to Spain will benefit me greatly because I will gain more skills in communicating with high school students and be there as a resource for them. Overall, this is experience will help me become that guidance counselor that I want to become.
