However, despite the love and memories I associate with this beautiful island, there is a bittersweet longing in my heart. I have yet to visit my great-grandmother's final resting place. Her passing, when I was just 14 years old, left an indelible mark on my soul. She was not only my great-grandmother but also the woman who raised me, my guiding light, and my mother in every sense. I have always yearned to pay my respects, to honor her memory by visiting her grave. Regrettably, financial constraints have prevented me from fulfilling this heartfelt desire. The weight of not being able to visit her has burdened my spirit, and I am determined to find a way to heal this emotional wound.
The second destination on my journey is Atlanta, a city that has captivated my imagination for years. Its vibrant blend of history, culture, and innovation has beckoned to me like a siren's call. Exploring its iconic landmarks, immersing myself in its rich heritage, and connecting with its diverse community are experiences I have longed for.
