My Travel Story
I hope this message finds you well! My name is Vincent and I am a senior studying at the University Of Northern Iowa. I am an English Teaching Major and hope to teach High School English in my community. I am reaching out with an urgent request and a hopeful heart. I've been presented with an incredible opportunity to study abroad in France this Summer, a dream that promises to enrich my education and broaden my horizons. However, emergency financial challenges threaten to keep this dream just out of reach.
Recently, my car required unexpected repairs totaling $1,400 making it unable to be driven until it is repaired. This squashed any hope I had of doordashing or ubering or saving anything for my plane tickets. With the program's hard deadline rapidly approaching on April 15th, I find myself in a difficult position: I need to raise $1,800 within the next five days to secure my participation. This is the cost of my tickets even when choosing the lowest options based on the instructions the program has given me.
