A mom's rare journey to celebrate a friend
My Travel Story
The rare times I do travel are short road trips to my hometown here in California. I’ve always prioritized my kids, their needs, and our home life over personal getaways.
But recently, something different came up: a dear friend invited me to their wedding in Washington. At first, I hesitated. The cost, the flight, the logistics—it all felt overwhelming. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized how much it means to show up for the people we love. I’ve decided to say “yes.” Yes to friendship. Yes to showing up. Yes to stepping outside my comfort zone, even just this once.
Now I’m asking for help.
I’m raising funds to cover the basics: airfare, hotel, and a little room to breathe during the trip. As a mom who rarely does this for herself, this would be a huge blessing. Every dollar helps me make this meaningful journey happen—one I would not be able to afford otherwise.
If you’ve ever had to put your own needs and desires aside for your family, you understand how hard it can be to ask. But I’m asking now, with humility and hope.
Thank you for reading, and for helping me take this leap.
With love and gratitude,
Murphy
