Volunteering for children's Sports Charity in Mwanza
My Travel Story
Hello everyone!
I am 21 years old, originally from Lithuania, I have just finished my second year at the university in Portsmouth and have an opportunity to take a placement year before the final graduation year. I am studying Sports Management & Development and have a passion for basketball and hopefully am a future prospect to become basketball scout/manager!
With a chance to go somewhere for about 7-10 months and help others in need, make their lives better and help children be engaged in sports, it is what I desire to do while I can. I am going to Mwanza, Tanzania in September/October, to create a basketball community, coach children and enroll in a charity programme.
I have applied to Sports Charity Mwanza (scmwanza.org) and already planning my trip to Tanzania, yet I lack finances to prepare for the life-changing journey (accommodation, visas, vaccinations, tickets, etc).
This whole work for charity would bring me a different view of the world we are living in and most importantly, I would bring my best to help Mwanza's community grow and help them teach fundamentals of basketball.
Every bit of funding is appreciated. Thank you!
