My Travel Story

Ireland is such a beautiful country, rich in a vibrant culture and compelling history. From gorgeous rolling hills, to thriving city life, there is so much energy in the culture of Ireland, that it's too good to pass up an opportunity to study here. I originally wanted to go to Dublin, because it is the capital city, and is very popular to tourists, the city that everyone wants to go to. However, I decided on Limerick, because I think I will get a better experience from my trip from studying in a place that is a little off the beaten path in terms of tourism. I can always visit Dublin, which I plan on doing, but I will learn a lot more about Ireland's culture and history if I go somewhere that is a lesser known. Limerick is the third largest city in Ireland, so it's by no means small, but there is so mich history in this city, and I can't wait to study here. To me, studying abroad is a chance in a lifetime; you have the opportunity to not only visit a country, but to be completely immersed in that culture, and get a better understanding of the people that live there. Not only will I get the chance to take classes pertaining to my major, but I will get to take classes that will increase my knowledge of Ireland, and it's culture. I am so excited to learn about the world, and to obtain a one of a kind education.
