How will this inpact my education or career?
Well I study cultural sciences, so going to another country and getting to experience the cultural explosion head on would be a dream come true and I know I could learn so much!

Why am I passionate about this project?
I want to travel the world and expand my knowledge and dip my toes into new cultural waters, to experience new and exciting things. To learn how we all differ in different regions of the world!

Why did I choose this destination, why Japan? 
Japan has been a point of interest for me since grade-school. I had always found their culture fascinating, it started off with me trying Japanese cuisine for the first time when I was in my younger-years, pre-teenage era. Since I had done various school projects regarding the country and learning all that I have, I would love the opportunity to backpack through Japan seeing both the urban and rural areas! Meeting all kinds of people, seeing all sorts of things!
