My Travel Story

Hello everyone, thank you for reading my post asking strangers for money to help me travel, live and work overseas.

What's the story and plan behind my request for aid in this project? Well, my goal is teaching English for work and living overseas longterm, I'm just in a bit of a snafu getting the money to fund the initial move.

My plan is to teach English for a start and I'm finishing up a teaching certificate while getting the rest of my documents apostilled. Destination is currently unknown since it depends on what budget I can cobble together. And hey, what better TEFL tacher for students to have than one with a passion for languages, education, and culture?

I'll get it out of the way that I'm posting a fundraiser since after every single personal attempt to achieve this project, I've found myself at an impasse. Whether I'm cursed, or nationally ostracized, or something, I simply have not been able to find safe, gainful employment doing literally anything since I became of working age...

And that's not without effort. I earned a college degree, law degree, and pushed through years of work experience which only resulted in me ending up as a pile of gore. I wonder if it was a message from the cosmos that I was somehow proscripted from earning a living... which I think is pretty important, right?

So, when things fail horribly and violently 100% of the time in your life for as long as you can remember, and makes you wonder whether you're lucky to still be alive or not, there's a time in everyone's life when they have to go, "well, time to pack my bags out of this country and see if it's any better anywhere else."

This request isn't simply for existential necessity.

I've also had a passion for foreign cultures, languages, ecosystems, nature, history, and so much more, since I was a young kid. My passion and interest were so great that I took it on myself to learn reading and writing on my own which I then used to read Encyclopedias which inspired a great desire in me to to travel and live overseas, which I find now is simply something I may not be able to achieve on my own.

You can help with even a small donation. If I can get enough for simply cost of documents, then I can use my sold possessions for a hostel overseas. Any little bit is something I'm going to make work for my situation.
