My Travel Story

We are Diana and Max, an American-German couple, and we both really love traveling. We met on Christmas, when we were both volunteering to help refugees in Greece. This was last year. Last December. Last Christmas. 

So, this year for Christmas, we will have been together for a year, even though we have been in different countries for a lot of that time. Max is spending this year tramping and travelling around Asia, while Diana is studying in France. But, we thought it would be good to spend the holidays together, and so, we will try to meet in India. Max will be there, Diana has a break from school, and there are many beautiful places to see and people to meet! So, here's the plan: from the middle of December to the middle of January - one month of travelling around India, likely starting and finishing in New Delhi.

Only problem: flights are expensive. Max will already be there, but Diana needs an airplane ticket.

So, we had the idea of crowd funding, but we want to do this in our own, unique way. So, we are asking for challenges. Maybe you could give us money and tell us what we should use the money for: here's 4 euros, go try this very spicy food! Here's 6 euros, go to this temple! Here's 10 euros, go to this village and climb this mountain! We want you to give us things to do and we'll do them, like little challenges.

We have also other expenses. Flights are expensive, and food isn't free. And we'd also be very happy if you'd donate to this. The flights to India are around 650€ so we will set this as a founding goal. And if there is any money left after the trip we'll donate it to a charity organization in India. 

We you will us to make us this trip happen! Every person who gives more then 30€ will get a postcard from us, if you send us your address!

We both have never done travel fundraising before, but we hope many people will contact us and tell us about cool things to do. Even if you don't donate, we'd still appreciate any ideas of cool places to go, ideas on how to get cheap flights, or anything else for the trip!

We know it seems frivolous, it'd mean a lot to get to spend Christmas together again - we'd really appreciate any support, thank you!
