My Travel Story

I am a first-generation college student that has never had the chance to go abroad. Furthermore, no one in my family has ever left the United States of America. My family has not yet gathered the experience to know how fundamental traveling to a different country could be towards career development. I had to gain courage on my own to learn about study abroad. As a low-income student from a one-parent household, there was no way for me to save enough money to travel the world on my own. Aside from financial need, it's difficult to find resources to support and remove the problems I have to face. I am a current Federal Pell Grant recipient relying on scholarships and a variety of programs to assist me with my financial impediments towards gaining knowledge such as international relations, economic resources, and development.
