My Travel Story

My kids and I obtained our Italian citizenship through a program called Jure Sanguinis about 10 years ago. After many hoops jumped through, this program grants Italian citizenship to those who qualify based on the immigration status of your immigrating ancestor. 

The kids are now a preteen and teenager and are old enough to understand the significance of going to the "old country" and connecting with family and their heritage. We are looking to do a spring break trip in March 2024 to Abruzzo. 

Abruzzo is one of the poorest, least visited regions of Italy - a far cry from the tourist spots of Rome or Florence.
