My Travel Story

This trip is a chance for UMass students to travel around Vietnam for a month, experiencing the unique culture (city life to ethnic minorities in mountainous areas,) learning, and making Vietnamese art specialty. At the same time, they will paint beautiful landscapes and scenery with the opportunity to be in an exhibition in Hanoi and at the university.

We want to present this program as a way to give students a rich and special opportunity to learn about the art and culture of a country that is not known or taught about in our or any universities’ curriculum and courses. Through this experience, students can come back to campus with memorable stories about their experiences in Vietnam and its customs. They will be able to share these experiences, which will further enrich the campus’ cultural understanding and appreciation. Our goal is to provide students with a whole new landscape of creativity and inspiration, enhance their knowledge of art, and make them global citizens.
