My Travel Story

This trip will provide amazing opportunities for my education of architecture in that I will be able to experience buildings and spaces first hand, learn from them, sketch them, feel them, and live them. I will be able to meet people outside my small area of influence in order to expand my depth of empathy and expand my area of influence outside of my schooling and bring that learned empathy into my future work after graduation.
Being able to travel is such a privilege and an honor - being able to experience someone else's way of living; being able to meet totally new people; eating new food, going new place, seeing new sights, smelling new smells. I would be blessed and humbled to be able to experience these things and to be able to bring what I experience back with me and use it to educate others through pictures, stories, and ultimately architectural design.
I am a third year architecture student at the California Polytechnic State University, and I am so excited to have this opportunity to travel the world and see what the world has to offer.
