My Travel Story

Hello everyone! My name is Declan Hobbs, and I am a 19 year old nursing student in British Columbia, Canada! This exciting volunteer trip will provide me with skills I can use in my future career as a nurse, and will make a difference in my patient care going forward. Being part of these projects in the small city of Antigua will allow me to see new perspectives on health and caring for others. I am passionate about this project because I know I the skills to help out a community other than my own, and seek to better my skills as there is much to learn!  This trip is extremely meaningful to me as I love to lend a hand wherever it is needed, and am always excited to take on new challenges, like learning a new language! I chose this destination as I've been interested in Central American culture, and cannot wait to explore new traditions and lifestyles while also doing what I love, assisting medically in places in need.
