Impact of my future education and career
This volunteer work in Fiji are going to make an impact in my future education and career. It will give me an insight of the work of a marine biologist and give me future advantage in careers of marine biology. I would have experience and that would lead to future marine biology projects or work would be a lot easier to get in to.

Making a difference in the fijian community
While in Fiji, the other volunteers and I will educate the children about how important sharks are in the ecosystems and why we should not kill sharks in the same rate as now. We will have workshops that will raise awarenesss about sharks and overall ensure that future generations protect sharks and thus the ecosystems of the ocean.

Why I am passionate about this project
I have been looking for different volunteer projects for a while and finally i found one that gives me butterflies in the stomach. The passion I feel for this project is tremendous, so much good comes with it. We get to swim with sharks and see them in their true nature, climate compensate for the flight, work side by side with scientists, experience a whole new culture and language, give children knowledge for a better future and make a impact for the better future. 

What makes this meaningful for me
I have always had a plans in life, always known what I wanted to do next. Last year I began questioning my plans when I decided to get a Humpback Whale tattoo for my grandma and began reading about whales and other oceanic animals. First I thought that marine biology was just a newfound hobby, but little did I know that I fell in love. At first I wanted to be a Pharmacist, but then when marinebiologist came up as a opponent, I could not deny it. I have always loved the ocean and always cared and been worried for the environment. It would be a dream come true to work with something I am genuinly passionate about. Working in the marine biology field is a challenge and there is a lot of competition, but I believe that if you are passionate enough, nothing stops you. If others can, what says i can not?
