Studying Abroad in South Korea!
My Travel Story
My name is Angie! I look forward to studying abroad in South Korea! This opportunity will impact my education by allowing me to embrace the Korean culture and developing highly influential skills. I have always been an introvert, but I will have the opportunity to enhance my communication skills. This opportunity to study overseas will inspire me to become more individualistic and step out of my comfort zone. I aspire to become an individual that is an a communicator, independent, socially confident, and so much more. I cannot wait to pursue this chapter of my life.
When I speak to friends or family about my plans to study in South Korea, some are quick to try to impersonate their language, and some do not know the different Asian ethinic groups. Studying abroad will allow me to inform those around me of the Korean culture and to rid them of the stigma that all Asians are 'Chinese' I am deeply passionate about studying abroad as a First Generation student. Because I am a First Generation student, there are so many firsts I have yet to experience. I was the first to graduate High School, I will be the first to graduate with a Bachelors degree, and I will be the first to study abroad. There is always a first for everything and I want to ensure I do not let any opportunity pass me by. This is a once in a life-time chance to pursure my aspirations. As I achieve another milestone with completeing my Bachelors in Entrepreneurship, I will set out pursue additional endevours as an Entrepreneur. Essentially, this is the only window of opportunity I have to study anywhere around the world and I would love South Korea to be the destination. A destination with the potential to change my life. The world is full of amazing dreams and I would like to convert mine into reality.
Thank you so much!

Return Flight Ticket!
Hi everyone, ?>
Here is an update on the flight ticket to return home! I was able to buy a ticket from Seoul to Denver with the help of my dad! He purchased a ticket for $693.90. Now all that is left are the expenses for food, transportation, and books/materials. Food is an average of 100 per week. I will be there for four weeks. This is about $15 for food each day. Transportation is about $20 per week. -
What's Not Included: TEAN Winter Program
Hi everyone! ?>
I have posted the link to the TEAN program I will be participating in under "More Travel Information" I would like to share more information on what is not included in the program. What's not included is partially paid for by the two grant I recently received. I received the Colorado Student Grant and the University Need Grant. With this, I was able to purchase a one way ticket for $1723.01. My dad helped with $854.19 for the flight, so it was $2577.20 in total for the flight from Denver to Seoul. I was also able to reserve an accommodation for $931.38. What's left is purchasing a flight ticket back to Colorado, food, and transportation.
