Students will have the opportunity to explore San José – the cultural, economic and social center of Costa Rica – during Spring Break. While abroad, students will conduct academic and company visits to Instituto Nacional Del Café, Café Britt, Starbucks and more! Participating in this program will allow students to analyze issues of international business in Costa Rica as well as understand and appreciate differences in international business in general.

Hi!
I am a student at Arizona State Univeristy and store manager at Starbucks and am currently enrolled in the College Achievement Program through Starbucks. I have a great passion for coffee and traveling. Since I've become a coffee master one of my major goals is to one day make it to origin (home of Starbucks coffee) and learn about the culture, business, and hard work that these farmers put into growing the coffee we sell.  I've always wanted to see the story from start to finish and this opportunity will give me just that.  Visiting the Starbucks coffee farm is a once in a lifetime opportunity when you're a Starbucks partner.  It's something that I'll cherish forever and throughout my Starbucks career.

Not only do I get to visit the farm but I also get to learn about the culture in Costa Rica.  Learn about the people, their life style, and experience their every day lifestyle. Learning about other people's culture and experiencing it first hand is something that everyone should have the opportunity to do,  it's life changing.  I can take this experience and do great things with it by sharing my story.  I hope to inspire others to step out of their comfort zone and do something scary and challenging.  This is exactly what I'm doing, stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something I've never done before.

I am asking for your help with achieving  my goal to experiene this once in a life time opportunity.  This opportunity is a great expense and any donation would be greatly appreciated.  I have also included an Adventure Registry below, these are just a few items that I will need to have a successful trip.  If I am able to seize this precious opportunity it'll be because you helped me to do so! Thank you for your support.

  • Almost There!

Hey all! This is my second update since I've posted my fundmytravel campaign. I am proud to say that my Costa Rica ticket has been purchased! It's now starting to feel real! I am slowly creating a packing list and creating a registry. If you find things on my list that you have and are willing to loan out, that would be greatly appreciated! I have been in contact with another student who lives in Washington who is also going on the Costa Rica study abroad trip. We are thinking of traveling together a few days before to explore more of the country. I am extremely excited about this trip and with out you this wouldn't be possible! Keep checking in to see if I have made any more updates.
  • First Update

This is my first update and I want to share with you the progress I have made so far. I have raised $325 so far, thank you to those who have donated! I am in the process of getting all of my paperwork finished up and still applying for scholarships/grants. There is a lot to do to make sure that I have everything I need for this trip, which includes visiting a travel doctor, booking my ticket, applying for grants, and so much more. This is an exciting opportunity and I hope you can share my story and any help would be appreciated!

    I'll keep in touch.
