Hello! I’m Tessa, studying Political Science at UCLA. I’ve been accepted to the Korea-America Student Conference (KASC), a diplomacy and cultural exchange program held in South Korea this July.

Why am I attending KASC?
  • To improve my Korean language skills and knowledge of the culture.
  • To learn alongside other U.S. and Korean student delegates about U.S.-Korea relations.
  • To travel to prominent American/Korean institutions that do the decision-making in politics (e.g., United Nations, Department of State, the Korea Foundation).
  • To present my team's research on how North Korea utilizes AI and technology for propaganda, and why it's important for diplomacy.
  • To present my own research thesis about U.S.-Korea-Japan trilateral relations as it relates to recent political changes.

This is my second time being accepted: I was honored to receive an offer last year, but unfortunately, I had to decline due to low funds. I promised myself I wouldn’t give up, and this year, I’ve already raised over half the cost through scholarships!

Now, I’m only $1,500 away from reaching my goal, and I’m determined to make it happen.

This opportunity is incredibly meaningful to me. KASC represents a big step toward my future career in conflict resolution and international law. I want to use this platform to uplift underrepresented voices in both local and international communities.

With your support, I’ll be able to turn this dream into reality. Every dollar brings me closer. Thank you so much for believing in me and being part of this journey!
