A Time to Travel and Heal
My Travel Story
I come to you with a humble heart, sharing a need that weighs deeply on my spirit. As many of you know, my life has been dedicated to serving the Lord—mentoring children, counseling those who are hurting, and pouring into others through ministry. Most of this work is done from the heart, without expectation of anything in return. And while I find joy in my calling, my soul is in need of rest.
Recently, I experienced the heartbreaking loss of my nephew—someone I believed would outlive me. While I trust that he is in a better place, the pain remains. Each time I see his picture, my soul floods with tears. This grief has been heavy, and I know that, even in serving others, I must take a moment to care for myself. Even Jesus stepped away to find solitude and renewal.
I have long desired to take a trip to Maui, Hawaii—a place where I can rest, pray, and seek healing. This trip is not a luxury but a necessity for my spirit. However, as those who serve in ministry understand, much of our work is volunteer-based, and finances don’t always allow for such moments.
I am asking for support in raising $20,000 to make this trip possible. This amount will cover travel, accommodations, and expenses so that I can fully step away, reset, and return refreshed to continue the work God has called me to do.
I do not ask lightly, nor do I want anyone to feel obligated. I only seek support from those who feel led by the Spirit to give. If God places it on your heart to sow into this trip, I would be deeply grateful. And whether you give or not, I pray that God blesses you abundantly for your kindness and prayers.
