My Travel Story
Overview: Join us for a transformative 12-month missionary trip to Southern Florida, organized by the Youth Enlightenment Sanctuary (YES of RI). Our mission is to empower low-income and underprivileged families by providing education and training focused on adolescent higher education, self-care, self-awareness, and self-love.
Purpose: In a world where access to quality education and mental health resources can be limited, our initiative aims to bridge this gap. We believe that by equipping young individuals with essential skills and knowledge, we can foster a generation that values self-worth, embraces personal growth, and strives for academic success.
Activities: Participants will engage in various activities, including:
Workshops and Seminars: Interactive sessions that cover topics like emotional intelligence, stress management, personal hygiene, and the importance of education.
Mentorship Programs: Pairing experienced mentors with adolescents to provide guidance and support in their educational journeys and personal development.
Community Outreach: Collaborating with local organizations to reach families and raise awareness about available resources and opportunities.
Resource Distribution: Providing essential materials, such as educational supplies and self-care kits, to families in need.
Impact: By the end of this year-long mission, we hope to see a significant improvement in the self-esteem and academic aspirations of the youth we serve. Our goal is to inspire a sense of hope and possibility, enabling participants to pursue their dreams and create a brighter future for themselves and their families.
