My Travel Story

Before you continue, I'd like you to know this is not just the story of a kid wanting to become a veterinarian, this is the story of a young-woman discovering her true calling. 
As a child, I used to dream of being a renowned veterinarian. In fact, I used to tell my mom that I would be the one to successfully complete the world's first human-to-animal heart transplant! This idea, of course, is ridiculous, but that just shows you how passionate I was about changing an animal's life. Since then, I have done everything possible to acheive my goal of becomming a vet. Now, I am nearing the end my last year of University and I am faced with the task of choosing a specialty: domestic, equine, farm, or wildlife/ exotic animals. I am currently working in a domestic animal hospital, and even though I love my work, I haven't felt that same passion that I felt so many years ago when I first learned what a veterinarian was. Recently though, this all changed for me. I came across this amazing program that will allow me to volunteer in South Africa and assist hundreds of wildlife in need of basic medical care, love, and nurturing. Just like that, I felt that childhood passion and I knew this is what I had to do. By going to South Africa, I not only would change my own life, but I would also change the lives of every animal that are  finally able to get the help they deserve. If there is any possible way you can help me be apart of this program, I promise I will treat every single paw, hoove, or feather I touch with the upmost care. Please assist me in being apart of the opportunity of a lifetime.
