My name is Julia Piejko and I am writing to respectfully inquire about the possibility of obtaining sponsorship for a volunteer program in Sri Lanka. Currently residing in Gdańsk, Poland, I am excited to be participating in an AIESEC volunteer program directly contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14.1: "Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development."

The program runs from July 1st to August 12th, 2024.

Healthy oceans are crucial for Sri Lanka's economy and environment. Tourism, a major source of income for the country, depends on beautiful coral reefs and clean beaches. Sustainable fishing practices are essential to ensure the long-term health of marine life and the livelihoods of Sri Lankan fishermen. My volunteer work will directly contribute to these efforts, making a positive impact on Sri Lanka's future.

This program presents a unique chance to not only contribute to Sri Lanka's conservation efforts but also gain valuable experience and participate in a cultural exchange.
