My Travel Story

Hello, we are Nisa and Jazzy, and this is our mother is Aisa.
She is one of the most loving and toughest people here on this earth. Despite constantly fighting health battles, she always tries to spread love to those around her.
This is a leap of faith asking for help in giving our mom the gift of a trip to see family and friends.

In the beginning of 2017, we moved from the place we had called ‘home’, for so many years, Sacramento. We relocated to Anaheim, to be closer to our mom’s medical specialists and our grandparents.

We left a place that not only held so many precious memories, but people who our hearts ache to see again. Life is unpredictable. Unfortunately we’ve already missed our opportunity to see some of those people until we meet again in heaven.
Now, nearly a decade after leaving, we have yet to visit the place we once called ‘home’ again.
We always had the hope of going to visit family and friends again. Life circumstances, like our mother’s health complications and financial hardships, have kept us from returning. The love we have for Sacramento has not lessened, and the desire to visit weighs heavily on our hearts- especially our mom’s.

Despite the challenges we will undoubtedly face, we are attempting to drive and take a trip to Sacramento- fulfilling my mother’s dream of finally reuniting with her loved ones living there. Anyone who has ever been a caregiver might understand, a trip planned for a sick loved one is not easy or simple. There are so many complexities that come with taking my mother anywhere- even more when trying to stay overnight. We have never attempted a stay anywhere else. Traveling anywhere has always seemed like an impossible challenge.
But we are trusting that God will help us give our mother this gift, because it would mean so much to her.

Most of our mom’s days are spent exhausted in a treatment chair, doctor’s office, or medical facility. Her mind is often preoccupied with burdens no one should have to carry.
This trip would be the greatest gift to my mom, who is so limited in what she can do and ask for. She is blind, and being on oxygen 24/7 and stuck in a wheelchair- there are not many things she can enjoy like everyone else.

After finishing up her last course of chemo in the middle of November, we are hoping to make her dream come true.
Financially, we are already struggling to pay rent and bills each month. So, financing a trip is seemingly impossible with our monthly budget.

It is difficult asking for help- but the joy and reprieve this trip would give our mother is worth taking this chance. Her happiness is priceless to us.
We know there is so much people could spend their money on, but we are humbly asking for a little help trying to get my mom there. No donation is too small, even a $1. However much you are able to give, we are grateful and we pray God blesses you for having compassion on this family.
The money donated would go toward:
-Medical Supplies (such as oxygen supplies, medicines, equipment, etc.)
-Cleaning Supplies (chemo has wiped our mom’s already weak immune system, leaving her vulnerable to the risk of infections, viruses, etc.- so protecting her from getting sick is a priority for us)
- Necessities (such as food, gas, etc.)
-Travel Supplies (bags, toiletries)
-Accessible Hotel Room

Words cannot express our gratitude towards those whose kindness and understanding lead them to donate. We also understand that it is not possible for everyone to donate money, we also just wanna thank anyone who sends prayers out for us. Thank you for helping bring immeasurable happiness and priceless memories to us with this trip.
