Hello friends and supporters,

Many people have asked how they can support me -- so I have started a fund to take my family on an epic vacation that is sorely needed! I have chosen to focus the vast majority of my energy on social justice work that is not profit-driven.

This is arduous work on its own. After spending the pandemic with three children under 10 at home the entire time, it's truly exhausting. We need a vacation and are saving up for one. But if you would like to support me, a great way to do that is by ensuring I and my family are well-rested and ready for the work that lies ahead!

Once upon a time, sans children, it wasn't much to just drop $800 on a cool vacation package deal and just up and leave. Suddenly with a family of five that turns into $4,000, which somehow turns into like $40,000. 

Have you ever vacationed with three small children? Then you know that it's not really a vacation, there is nothing relaxing about it. We last vacationed in 2014, we rented a home about three blocks from the beach. We spent the entire week cooking, cleaning, and doing laundry. 

After the year we have all had, all I want to do is give my children a vacation of a lifetime. Our ideal destination is the Bahamas although if we find an amazing travel package in another Caribbean locale, that's where we are going. Ideally we would stay at an all-inclusive and/or family-friendly resort, or a rental home large enough for us all to have some space and in a beautiful location with easy access to a beach and/or pool.
