My Travel Story

I would like to implement the non profit organization called OLD AGE MALAWI. I  have been working with other partners, in various regions of Malawi, to implement old age security programs that promote the well-being of elderly by empowering their families and communities. Our programs focus on educating and transforming the mind set of people within the society to achieve positive results on proper viewing of elderly and supporting them.

In Africa countries including Malawi, elderly people are facing challenges. We all fear of reaching old aged. This is because our mind set has been corrupted with the wrong cultures, traditions and false beliefs. Elderly are treated unfairly and being accused of witchcraft. In a region where drought, soil erosion and serious pandemic has been affected due to various reasons such as global warming and poor hygienic conditions, elders are the cause.
Our main goal is to educate people within the societies to change the mind set that there is no so called magic powers or witchcraft when someone is gettig old. We are the cause of our problems such as soil erosion due to deforestration. The factory we have built, produces gas that destroy Ozone layer contributing to global warming. As a result of global warming, droughts and scarcity of rains are there, not the witchcraft nor magical powers from elderly people.

We train the volunteers within the society and village leaders with such knowledge to achieve our goal. Volunteers and leaders of the societyies are making sure that all families within the community receive this education and elderly people are safe and sound and being treated fairly. When the stakeholders, Governments and non profit organization offers donation to needy families in a community, our organisation is there to make sure that the elderly people have benefited from the donations as well. We really need your support so that we can reach wherever possible with such a education to protect the elderly people.

We are also going further with our plan to have building facilities where we can offer hospital services, food and shelters to elderly people when they reach 70 of age and don't have relatives to take care of them. With this implementation of building facilities for elderly people, we are hoping that we will reach a 0% of needy and unattended elderly person by the year 2064. Helps us to reach the goal.
