Ki ora!

My name is Cherish and I'm 24 years old. I've lived in New Zealand my entire life and have always dreamed of travelling abroad.

Unfortunately due to financial difficulties and family illness, I stayed put. I looked after my father before he passed whilst he was on dialysis, became my grand mother's full time palliative care nurse whilst she had cancer and then became my siblings only support person whilst they dealt with early prevention services. 

It has been difficult trying to prioritise myself throughout this journey but I am finally doing something for myself.

I am moving to Spain in April and am nearly at my target but need a little extra funding to qualify for the visa! 

This is a big leap for me and I'm planning to vlog my entire journey. As cheesey as it sounds, I want to inspire girls at home that it's okay to dream big and that prioritising yourself is more of a selfless act than a selfish one.
