My Travel Story

This volunteering project will allow me to help give opportunities to women in marginalised societies that do not have access to employment and education opportunities. I will be trained to teach about health topics on non-communicable and communicable diseases, prenatal care, pregnancy, childcare and healthy development. I will also be teaching English and skills in order for women to get better job opportunities. I will be involved in a variety of key initiatives to promote health and wellbeing from within the community; but this depends on the community needs and project directions. I will be helping to host interactive public health workshops too.
 This trip will challenge me because it will be my first independent trip outside the UK without any family members or friends so for me it will really challenge my independence. I cannot wait to go on this trip.
