My Travel Story

Please help me support low-income children in Costa Rica this summer 2023. 

My name is Tom. I am 15 years old, and I want you to help me participate in a fantastic volunteering project with my mum in Costa Rica- San Jose.

I am particularly interested in this project because sport is my favourite subject. I could practice it while helping vulnerable children by keeping them busy in a safe environment run by local communities. In addition, this project allows children to build skills and support networks and increase their chances of continuing education to gain employment later.

Some of the activities I will be taking part in include the following:
Setting up games and activities
Helping with homework
One-on-one interaction with children
Teaching basic hygiene skills
Assisting with meals

By doing the above, I will help;
Improving access to education for children in San José
Assisting students to develop life skills in a safe place
Developing my communication skills
Gaining childcare experience
Gain valuable skills for life

The money collected will help to buy various sports items (and definitely football balls!), stationery, clothes, and so much more for children in Costa Rica.
