Hello everyone. We are Axel (26), Victoria (24), Taylor (7 months), and Chloe (7 months), a young family from Argentina.

We are excited to announce that Axel has obtained a scholarship to study his PhD program in Computational and Comparative Neuroscience in Germany (4-5 years duration), starting October 2024, which means we must move to Europe.

This happy news, which represents a dream come true for Axel, was accompanied by a sad one: his employer told him that he had lost his job 2 months ago. This was a difficult period for us because it meant we needed to use our savings to pay the rent on the apartment until it became unaffordable. We were forced to move back to our parents' house.

Axel and Victoria were born into a middle-income family in Argentina. We always work and study hard to achieve our dreams. We met in the United States while working double shifts in the winter 21-22 season. At the same time, Victoria managed to graduate in Tourism at only 21 years old! Axel's degree took a little longer and he graduated as a Psychologist in February 2024.

We decided to get married in December 2024, a true proof of love despite being young. Oh, and our family grew up when we adopted 2 amazing Yorkshires: Chloe and Taylor (both sisters of 7 months of age). We love them with all of our hearts (although sometimes they get into a lot of mischief haha).

Unfortunately, the scholarship only provides a travel allowance for Axel, leaving Victoria, Taylor, and Chloe to pay for the trip. A travel ticket to Germany is around 1200 USD from Buenos Aires, Argentina (with a specific airline to travel with our dogs). Additionally, we need to pay a company 400 USD for each of our dogs (800 USD in total), and an airline fee of 100-200 USD to take them with us safely to our new home.

The tough economic situation in Argentina (the third country with the highest inflation in the world), without jobs and savings (we use almost everything to pay the rent) is making it difficult to afford it.

This already made Axel decide to move to Germany alone in August, 2 months before the start of his scholarship, to earn as much money as possible (while studying German) to keep his family together in Germany once again.

So if there was any possible amount you could donate towards our trip and keep us together, we would be eternally grateful.

Thanks a lot!
