I am excited to go to Jamaica to not only teach the local children sports and activities I grew up with and have a deep passion for, but also to immerse myself in a new culture. 
I would like to travel but also do it with a purpose. 

I have always had a love for sports and I want to share that passion with kids who don't have the opportunity's I had to learn about and play these sports that have done so much for me and countless other people. Sports are important to strengthen and support collaboration within communities. They also help with quality of life within low income areas in Jamaica. 

As a Sports Development Volunteer I will be encouraging students to enjoy sports, giving students a positive outlet for their energy, and helping students develop life skills and a safe place. And while I do that, I will be discovering the natural beauty of Saint Mary and immersing myself in Jamaican culture while gaining teaching and coaching experience.
Your donations would help me immensely with flight tickets and meals while in Jamaica.
