My Travel Story

Hello! My name is Sammy Kline and I'll be studying abroad in London, England in the summer of 2023! I'll be taking two classes while in London: Human-Animal Interactions and Engineering Economic Analysis, both of which will be taught by NC State Professors over the course of ~1 month. I won't be lonely though! I will be joined by two of my friends also in Mechanical Engineering, seen as the middle two in the third picture. After which time I will be joined in London for a few days by my wonderful boyfriend William (featured in pictures 2 & 3) and one of his friends. I'll play tour guide in England for a bit before the three of us hitch a beautiful and scenic train ride to Edinburgh where we will enjoy the Scottish countryside and food. I'm also hoping to complete some weekend travel during my class time to Italy and Greece. If you have any recommendations or other travel ideas please let me know!

I have been so blessed with my previous international experiences in visiting Spain and several beautiful ports of South America with my family (shoutout to my dad in picture 1!) Those trips uncovered a love of traveling in me and I'm so lucky to be participating in this month-long adventure into Europe. I'm very excited about this trip not only because it is an amazing opportunity to see parts of this beautiful world, but also because of the many chances I will have to broaden my horizons, experience different cultures, and continue to further my own education. I've been planning for this trip, truly, since my freshman year of college when I spent an entire week researching study abroad options during peak pandemic delirium. I'm so grateful for this opportunity and I can't wait to make the most of this experience. Thank you so much for reading and I would really appreciate your support.
