My Travel Story

Hi, i'm Valdi, an ambitious young man with a big dream. I'm 25yrs old and i'm from a beautiful country called Indonesia.

Ever since i went to college, i've faced many difficulties in life. Struggling with a broken home situation, working here and there to pay my college tuition, hustling each day just to make sure me and my little brother have something to eat. Yes, i've faced tough times quite a lot.

Despite having so many problems, i still have love and dreams that gave me strength to carry on in life. Also, the fact that me and my brother lives in a separate place with my dad, makes me even stronger to be an independent man.

Learning english in college is one way to achieve my biggest dream. I want to be able to live my life overseas. There are still a lot of things to be prepared, but i never give up on my goals.

At some point in my college life, i found the love of my life. Her name is Tania..

We've been together for quite some time. She is the most amazing woman i have ever seen. She motivates me, take care of me and never failed to put a smile on my face.

My family love her so much. They are so happy whenever me and Tania come to visit them. She reminds me of my late mom..

After quite some time, we both finished our study in college. Soon after, we started to focus on building a better future for both of us. I got a job in a mining company, while she continue her studies to get another degree in public health major in Jakarta. We are mature enough to have a long distance relationship. We support each other for the sake of our better future.

A couple years ago, our country faced the impact of the global pandemic situation. We are forced to adapt to this new way of life. But still, we managed to survive and carry on our life.

Sadly, things turned pretty bad for me..

In January this year, i lost my job due to a new company policy. This pandemic situation is getting worse in my country. Many people lost their job, including me.

I have to survive no matter what, knowing that i gotta be strong for Tania and my little brother.

After losing my job, i have to find alternative income to survive. My savings are only able to keep us survive for two months. I have never been so scared of starvation before..

To be honest, this the lowest point of my life so far. Despite having difficulties in daily life, i don't want Tania to be worried. I always tell her that i'm doing okay everytime we called. After all, i've managed to survive to this day by working small jobs just to have enough money to buy foods for me and my brother.
I don't want to pretend to be strong. I just don't want to tell her that i've been crying in my sleepless nights.

Time goes by and Tania started to prepare to face her last exam. She was so ambitious and smart, she is scheduled to graduate next month. I am truly happy for her.

From the bottom of my heart, i want to be there on her graduation. I want to appreciate all of her efforts to make our future brighter. She is the most amazing person i knew, and i am grateful that she still loves me no matter what.

Unfortunately, i don't have enough money to meet her. My current income is pretty small. And i have to take care of my brother's needs, knowing that he is also studying in college. I have an opportunity to get a better job in October. My best friend offers me a good position in his company, and i'm looking forward to a better financial situation.

I can't miss this chance to be there for Tania on her graduation next month. I want to give her flowers and maybe a small gift, just so that we can be together in her happy day. Please help us create a happy memory in our relationship.

I know that this may be too much, but right now i need your help and donation. Please help me meet Tania on her graduation day in Jakarta. Your help will forever be in my heart and i promise to help others when i am able to. No matter how small your donations are, you are still a part of my love story.

Last but not least, i believe that love can change anything. The power of love is so strong. Love is the reason of why we've seen amazing things happened throughout human history.
