Montessori education is an educational approach developed by Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori based on her extensive research with "phrenasthenic" or "special needs" children and characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child’s natural psychological, physical, and social development. I have decided to start on my journey to obtain my National Diploma in Early Childhood Development with a Montessori ethos.

It was Maria Montessori's goal to empower chilldren. This is a method of education for young children that stresses the development of a child's own initiative and natural abilities, especially through practical play. This method allowed children to develop at their own pace and provided educators with a new understanding of child development.

I would at the end of my studies open my own school which not only focuses on development of the child but also focuses on community development and charity. It is my love for children and the development of the community makes me passionate about this project.

I am passionate about helping people abnd I feel that this would be a great opportunity for me to learn more about myself and gain a network of contacts abroad so I am able to take my idea on a much larger scale.
