My Travel Story

Hello! My name is Naomy Chepkemoi, and I come from a small town in Kenya called Olmekenyu. I am reaching out with a dream that I believe will change not only my life, but also the lives of many others I hope to serve.

I have been accepted to pursue my Master’s degree in Germany, an opportunity that will allow me to gain world-class education, deepen my research in sustainability and technology, and build skills that I can bring back home to Kenya. My greatest goal is to use this knowledge to empower communities, create opportunities for young people, and expand projects that uplift women and families.

Getting here has not been easy. I grew up in a displaced family, and after a devastating fire in our town earlier this year, my family has been struggling to rebuild. Despite these challenges, I have worked hard—often putting aside my own education to support my parents and siblings. Recently, I even managed to secure a small piece of land for my mother’s business, but without resources to build, that dream also waits.

Now, I have a chance to finally focus on my studies, to break the cycle of struggle and create a foundation for lasting change. But I cannot do this alone. The costs of travel, tuition support, and living in Germany are beyond what my family can afford.
