My Travel Story

Hi everyone!
I'm planning on studying abroad in Australia for Winter Intersession 2019. I'm trying to pay everything myself so I don't have to burden my parents with yet another expense, especially since the payments would be made closer to the holiday season and since I was not an early bird candidate. Parents sacrifice so much for their children, so I would like to take financial charge of making one of my dreams come true.
It's always been a dream of mine to travel the world, one city/country at a time.There are so many beautiful cultures and types of people and nature out there that I think we should all get the chance to know. In a world that seems to be so narrow-minded, I hope to break out of it and experience everything the world has to offer with an open mind and open arms. 
I want to take this opportunity to be able to learn how the United States differs from Australia in a variety of different aspects. I feel like new environments help us put ourselves and our lives in perspectives, allowing us to appreciate what we have even more. Throughout our trip, not only will we learn about the difference of criminal justice systems between the U.S and Australia, but we also have volunteer work planned! Nothing makes me happier than having an opportunity to share what I have with someone and seeing a smile spread across their face.
This course lines up so well with my academic and personal goals, which is why I'm trying so hard to collect the funds for it. I'm using all my savings for the program cost itself, which is $2000 alone, yet this still leaves me the expense of airfare,the largest expense of this trip aside from the program itself, tourist visa and passport, and winter intersession fees ($1098), which is the fee that my school itself charges students for taking winter courses.
