As the head coach of Honu Sumo Club, I couldn’t be prouder! After taking first place in their divisions, 4 Honu Sumo High School Sumo Wrestlers earned the honor of representing Team USA at the Sumo World Championship happening in Bangkok, Thailand in September!

This team includes three girls who complete the three-person squad needed to form the first-ever U.S. girls' sumo team on the world stage. 

Now, we need your help to get them there. We’re raising funds to cover travel for two of these dedicated athletes, myself, and their support team.

We’re still far from our $12,600 goal ($13,230 is the FundMyTravel Goal because it includes the fees for using this site), and every donation—big or small—makes a difference. Please give what you can and share to support these young athletes as they make history!
