My Travel Story

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to see what this mission trip is all about! almost a year ago now I knew God was leading me to Guatemala and I had no idea what it would look like, but I went anyways! It was terrifying and exciting, and I saw God move. I had also learned of a revival going on in Peru from David Hodges the Bishop in Peru, along with the youth pastor at CLI Josh Kestner we talked about what it could look like doing ministry with David in Peru. Fast forward a few months and now I am back in Guatemala serving alongside the CLI youth, Bishop Gladys and Atilio, and the Awakening team! During our time there I was asked by Kareen one of the Awakening missionaries if I had ever thought of going to Peru, after talking she asked me to consider and if it's God's will go to Peru on a mission trip. This was the third time I had been asked to go to Peru by three different people, so I took it very seriously and began to pray. After prayer and seeking God, I knew I needed to go. I began planning how this could work and something Gladys told me the first time I went to Guatemala came to mind: "you could stay here and study Spanish in Antigua and on the weekends, you can minister with us." I finally had a plan and God had been preparing it for months! I got connected with the schools in Antigua and set up dates that I would be studying. During the weekends I will be assisting Gladys and Atilio and their son German in their ministry efforts, whether that is with missions, at the various churches in Guatemala, or out in their community! When I have become familiarized with the language then I will be sent to Peru to assist with David and the other missionaries as we go and minister to the people of Peru! I believe that's the reason you are reading this now, not just to support me although I don't take that for granted, I appreciate everyone who supports me spiritually, emotionally, physically, but I believe you're here because of something much bigger than any of us. You providing for this mission is not so I can have a fun time and have a good time with other Christians, but it is directly affecting the lives of people who can be reached because of your gift. It is giving them a chance to know Jesus something that we are all called to do as Christians, and that is why I am going to them. Whether you give in prayer and or finances I ask that you give with the understanding that this is not about me and not about you, but that God is glorified, and people can be saved. Thank you to whoever read this far that in itself is a gift, please pray with me that I can be bold to proclaim the unmeasurable love of God and the Magnificence of His glory always to all as I pray the same for you and be reminded to abide in love and prayer with humility and patience for all people being careful to maintain the unity of the spirit which is in peace.
