My Travel Story

Hi, my names Edwina and I need your help.
In October 2016 I took on care of my 17 year old niece covering our rent, bills and helping her heal from an awful upbrining.
Prior to us living together, I was living in the UK & she was at home in Sydney, sleeping on trains, on the street and couch surfing with friends to survive. My heart absolutely breaks that I had no idea this was going on.
Since living together for the past 8 years, we've been healing from a lifetime of abuse and toxicity from our family.
We like to take good care of eachother & spoil eachother at christmas and birthdays.
She's growing into the most beautiful young woman- kind, generous & hard working

This Christmas just past, she gifted me a flight to London so that I could have my first holiday in 8 years. Its an incredibly generous gift and I do miss my friends in the UK & Europe dearly. Ive had some health concerns hence her insistance that I take this break.

The probem is, I am just not in a financial position to fund a trip to the other side of the world BUT I can't change the ticket & her heart will be broken if I can't take this holiday she gifted me.

It would be such a slap in the face to her (who worked so hard to save for this ticket) if I can't go and the ticket just goes to waste.

Here's where you come in:
I am hoping to raise some money to:
  • Fund the trip
  • Cover our rent & bills while I'm away
  • Have rent covered for when I first get back till I find work again

I realise this is by far not the most important fundraiser on here, but after 8 years of only having eachother, I don't want to let her down and waste this gift.
