My Travel Story

For as long as I can remember, I’ve believed that education is the most powerful force for change. As a teacher, I’ve seen how a spark of curiosity can transform a child’s entire future. Now, I have the opportunity to take that spark halfway across the world — to the slums of India, where many children dream of a classroom they’ve never had the chance to sit in.

This summer, I’ll be traveling to India to volunteer as an English teacher in communities where education is often a luxury. I’ll be working with children who live in some of the most impoverished areas — bright, hopeful kids who want to learn, grow, and connect with the world beyond their neighborhoods.

But here’s the truth: this trip isn’t about me. It’s about them — about helping children discover that their voices matter and their stories are worth telling. Learning English gives them access to better opportunities, jobs, and the confidence to dream bigger.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps make this mission possible. Funds will go directly toward airfare, teaching supplies, and living expenses during my volunteer service. Your support will allow me to focus on what matters most: empowering children through education and compassion.

I’ll be documenting this journey — not just to share beautiful photos, but to show the faces, laughter, and resilience of the children I’ll meet. My goal is to return home with lessons that go beyond textbooks — lessons about humanity, gratitude, and hope that I can bring back to my own students and community.

Together, we can remind these children — and ourselves — that love and learning truly have no borders.
