My Travel Story

by: Delilah O Start Date: Jun 27, 2024 - End Date: Jun 26, 2025
Dear Friends and Supporters,

My name is Delilah, a 23-year-old Algerian student on a journey fueled by passion and perseverance. I've pursued a dual path of study in Marketing and English Literature across various institutions in Algeria, culminating this year in my graduation with a degree in English Literature from the University of Algiers 2.

English became a part of my life at the age of 10, igniting a passion that led me to become a teacher by the time I turned 16. Beyond the academic realm, it's been my lifelong dream to explore new horizons through international education, enriching my understanding of the world and its cultures.

However, the financial realities of studying abroad, especially in countries like the US, Canada, and the UK, have often seemed daunting. Recently, at an international graduate fair, fate intervened. There, I met a representative from the International University of Sarajevo, offering a Master's degree in Business Administration for €4,000, with an additional €2,000 needed for dormitory expenses. This discovery reignited my determination to pursue this transformative opportunity.

As someone who values hard work and self-reliance, asking for assistance isn't something I take lightly. Yet, I find myself in a position where I must humbly seek your support. Raising €6,000 ($6,870) on my own would take at least two years of dedicated savings t would take me at least two years to save this amount alone. Unfortunately, waiting that long would mean I exceed the age limit for acceptance into the program at the International University of Sarajevo, which does not accept students over the age of 25. My parents and I are committed to contributing €1,000 ($1,145) towards an emergency fund, earned through long hours of hard work to ensure I am prepared for any unforeseen circumstances while abroad.

I'm driven not just by personal ambition but by a desire to pave a path for my two younger brothers, whom I hope to inspire and support towards their own bright futures. Beyond family, I aim to contribute meaningfully to my community and build a foundation for a stable and successful future.

Your generosity and support mean the world to me. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me closer to realizing a dream that will shape not just my own life but the lives of those I cherish. I am deeply grateful for your consideration and for being a part of this journey.
Thank you for believing in me and for your kindness.
