My Travel Story

All my life, I have been fortunate enough to cross state lines, collecting my second state at just a few months old. Some people never get the opportunity to leave their hometown, and I have been honored to live in a handful of states. What started as a slow progression from state to state became a vigilant obsession with seeing as many as I possibly could. And now, we are dawning on the finale of my adventure, with only five states left. Alaska has been booked for Aug. 31 - Sept. 5 but I am struggling to book excursions and lodging. And unfortunately Alaska has wiped my savings for the rest of my journey. All this travel has allowed me to experience everything this country has to offer, challenge people's perceptions about various states, give travel suggestions, and connect with so many people. I have been fortunate enough to take those I care about to new places, but mostly I have seen almost every state by myself, and for a woman in her mid-twenties, it is a scary and powerful thing to accomplish. I hope to complete this journey by Jan. 30, 2023, my 27th birthday, as a culmination of my life's accomplishments so far. Then...off to seen every country in the world!
