Help Me Reunite with My Mother After 12 Years Apart!!!!

Hello, and thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.

My name is Martinez, and I’ve lived in the United Kingdom for over 40 years after emigrating from Cuba. Life has taken me far from the place I was born, but my heart remains forever tied to my family — especially to my mother, who still lives there.

It’s been over 12 years since I last saw her. Twelve long years. She’s now 78 years old, and she lives alone after the passing of my father. Every day, I feel the weight of that distance, and not a single day goes by without me worrying about her or missing her deeply.

The truth is, I haven't been able to afford the trip back. My modest salary here in the UK goes entirely to caring for my loved ones. I support my partner, who suffers from multiple sclerosis and cannot work, and my son, who is studying at university and has tuition fees and living expenses to cover. On top of that, I send money every month to my mother in Cuba — without this help, she wouldn’t be able to afford the most basic food.

Despite working hard and giving everything I have to those I love, I simply haven’t been able to save enough to go see my mother. And now more than ever, I feel time is running out. She’s aging, and my greatest fear is that I might never get the chance to hug her again.

This is why I’m reaching out — to ask, humbly and from the bottom of my heart, for your help.

I’m raising funds to cover the cost of return flights to Cuba so that I can visit my mother this year. Every donation, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to reuniting with her after all these years apart.
