My Travel Story

by: Ashish Sharma Start Date: Apr 27, 2018 - End Date: Oct 26, 2018
Hello,

My name is Ashish Sharma and I am an international student from India in United States. I completed my Masters in December 2016 and right now I am trying to find a decent job so I can clear up my education loan which I took back in India.

I grew up in the small city of Raipur a small city in central India, and as I didn't belong to a rich family so whatever I wanted  to do one way or the other I was left to make a compromise. But then I finished my Schooling and the did an undergraduate program  and after that I came to th US for doing my Masters and I thought finally I would be doing everything I wanted to do in my life.

But nothing happened as I expected it to and things started going the other way. First I lost my Mom and then I lost my job and right now I am struggling to find a good one. But furing all these I never lost my trust in God and the God took good care of me.  I found love in biking I started doing a lot of biking everyday and eventually it became an addiction. So I decided to do something different with my life, something that can scare me, something that will make me feel different and relaxed and more connected with community.

Doing biking now for almost 9 months I also realised that how important is our environment and how biking can help us achieving a balance over the present global crisis on warming of Earth. So also decided to do this biking trip to raise awareness to all the people that we need to worry about our environment.

Also there are certain Organizations like PETA and Animal Aid unlimited in India which helps saving the injured animals along the roadsides and to different places. I am a regular donor for that organization (Animal Aid Unlimited)  so whatever I will raise 40% of that will be go to this kind of Organizations, so as they can serve better in the future to our voiceless friends who needs help.

Thank you everyone for being on my page and reading my story. I will be very grateful  for any kind of your contributions.

Also if you want to be updated daily on my biking activities you can connect to me in STRAVA  under the name Ashish Sharma.

Thank you.
